We feature 100% embroidered patches which provide high detail, quality, and durability. ##### Who orders custom military patches from Aviator Gear? *** We work with active-duty, national guard, and reserve military units in the Air Force, Navy, Space Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard, as well as law enforcement, fire rescue, specialized tactical groups, and aviation companies. ##### Are embroidered patches durable enough for flight suits and uniforms? *** Absolutely. Our custom embroidered military patches are produced with high stitch density, reinforced borders, and quality thread to ensure long-term wear on flight suits, uniforms, and tactical equipment. ##### Do you offer custom PVC patches for tactical environments? *** Yes. Custom PVC patches are ideal for tactical teams and high-use applications. These patches are flexible, weather-resistant, and designed to withstand moisture, abrasion, and demanding operational conditions while maintaining bold color and raised detail. ##### Do your patches come with Velcro backing? *** Yes. We offer Velcro-backed patches with plastic hook backing that allows units to easily attach and remove patches from uniforms, flight suits, and tactical gear. Velcro patches are ideal for teams that rotate insignia or need flexibility in daily wear. ##### What are morale patches? *** Custom morale patches allow units to showcase your team's camaraderie, culture, and pride. While often lighter in tone, morale patches are produced with the same attention to quality and durability as our standard military and aviation patches. ##### Do you ensure design accuracy for military insignia? *** Yes. Our team reviews every custom military patch for correct insignia placement, approved color usage, consistent sizing, and professional layout standards. Compliance with military heraldry guidelines is critical when producing patches that represent unit identity and heritage. ##### What does 100% embroidered mean? *** 100% embroidery means that the entire surface of your patch will be stitched with colored thread. In our opinion, a twill background patch is inferior and we do not recommend that option. ##### What is the level of detail? *** Depending on the size of your patch, we can actually accomplish very detailed replication of your artwork using embroidered thread. Small, intricate details will not stitch accurately and simpler is often better. Facial features and extremely small text are especially challenging. Cartoonish images stitch quite well and we do a great job with aircraft and weapons. ##### How many colors are available? *** Your patch price includes 12 colors at no additional charge. We will use as many colors as needed to make you the best quality patch and we will not nickel and dime you for additional colors. Most companies charge an extra $0.15 per color for more than 7 colors. ##### What's the minimum order quantity? *** We have a minimum order quantity of 50 patches, and you can reorder as few as 25 patches. The minimum quantity for our patches applies to each design. This is because each design requires a different digitized image that instructs the machine how to stitch your patch. We do offer discounts on the same patch design in different colors, such as a color patch and a companion desert or OCP patch. ##### What determines the cost? *** The size and order quantity determine the price of your patch. We do not charge extra for multiple colors of thread and our prices are quoted with Velcro included. Subtract $0.25 for any patches without Velcro. ##### How soon will I receive my patches? Your reorders and our MAJCOM patches will ship about one week sooner than other patches. Rush production is not available, but let us know your deadline and we will do our best to make it happen!
